Primary Elections
- All recognized political parties may nominate up to ten candidates per district for the Senate race and twenty-four candidates per district for the House race.
- The primary election determines the final party slates for the general election.
- The primary election shall be held using ranked-choice voting.
- The slate for a party will be determined by ranking the candidates using their average ranking among all votes cast.
General Election
- Voters cast their ballots for a party’s slate of candidates rather than individual candidates.
- The total votes for each party determine the proportion of seats they receive in each district.
- The highest-ranked candidate on the party's slate is awarded the first seat, with subsequent seats awarded in descending order of rank.
